A Little About Me!
Samar Mroue, RN, BSN, IBCLC After having my first child, I had a lot of trouble breastfeeding him without pain. It wasn't until I reached out to a skilled Lactation Consultant, that I was able to start enjoying nursing my newborn. Having a background as a pediatric Registered Nurse made me want to learn more about what my son and I were going through, and that's when my passion to learn everything there is to know about breastfeeding grew, and I started the path to become a Lactation Consultant myself. |
Achieving IBCLC
Soon after I overcame my difficulties with my first born, I set out to become a La Leche League leader, a volunteer role to support parents in my local community. 5 years after my own breastfeeding journey began, I achieved my goal and passed the International Board Certified Lactation Consultant exam, the most rigorous credential for lactation care. |
Supporting the families of the Conejo Valley
My goal is to provide family-centered breastfeeding support. I currently offer home visits and video/phone consults, to make it easier for new parents to access the help they need, to get them off to the best start in life. |
